Description

This is a clear, liquid, chemical compound that reverses the process that causes rusting and oxidation. It destroys the corrosive agents that support oxidation and leaves a clean, rust-free, metal surface. While stripping the rust and corrosion away, minute inert elements are formed (phosphatizing) that become an integral part of the metal surface, without changing tolerances, and prevent further rusting.

Applications

Use on new fabrication of metal parts just prior to painting. It will remove light mill protective oils, soils and rust accumulated during storage. It also leaves a lightly phosphatized surface for excellent paint bonding.

Use on old equipment where paint has come off and rust and other corrosion has taken place. It removes the rust and soils and conditions the metal for repainting.

When painting is delayed, spray the treated surface with a solution of equal parts water to Rust Rip to prevent further rust bloom.

NOTE: If the condition of old equipment is to the point of thick rust and pitted metal, it has gone beyond the helpful benefits of this product.

Safety and Handling Precautions

Use with adequate ventilation. Wash hands after use. Rubber Gloves, splash goggles, or safety glasses are recommended. A protective apron may be advisable. Keep container closed when not in use. Dispose of in accordance with all local, state and federal regulations. Keep out of reach of children.
